How we travel.
- 01
The islands earn from this
Around a hundred local boat crews, innkeepers, cooks and drivers make our trips run. Your money stays here rather than with a booking platform.
- 02
Expert local guides
All our guides actually live on the islands they lead. Years of on-the-ground knowledge, not a script.
- 03
The hidden Okinawa
Beaches without parking lots. Awamori bars without signs. Trails that don't show up in guidebooks.
- 04
Personalised care
Every itinerary is hand-built around the people travelling it — pace, interests, dietary, mobility, all of it.
What kind of trip?
Three corners of Okinawa, three different feels.
Naha to Iheya,
the long way north.
Roughly 150 km from Naha's southern markets up through the Yanbaru forest and out to the small islands of Izena and Iheya. Pulses mark where the Main-Island journey lands.

We had an amazing experience with Evertrail Tours. The tour was very informative, and everyone was incredibly friendly throughout the entire time. Aya was especially great—she made the experience feel less like a guided tour and more like we were being shown around by a longtime friend. She’s very personable, easy to talk to, and clearly very knowledgeable about everything we saw. Nothing felt rushed or scripted, which made it even more enjoyable. We learned a lot while still having a relaxed, fun time. We’ll definitely be booking more tours with them in the future and highly recommend Evertrail Tours to anyone looking for a great experience.
Thank you for a great time! I did the 2 day tour with day one being the Culture & Coast Half-Day (City Center → South Coast) and day two being the Half-Day Ocean Cave Exploration. It was very flexible and accomodating around my schedule. I really enjoyed the in depth explanations and experiencing all the spots we visited as well as the tours being filled with fun and laughter. I learned a lot about Okinawa, the culture, stories about the past and people of Okinawa, and was also able about to try a bunch of different food as well as visit local spots. It felt like a true local experience with hidden gems provided by friends. Recommendations for other things to do or places to visit were provided too. There was also some sick film photos taken during the tours. I recommend anyone seeing this to visit Okinawa and especially to book with @thingstodoin.jp to enhance their experience in Okinawa! I’m excited for the next time I visit Okinawa! Would book a different tour in the future!
Really solid tour from start to finish. We went with the island hopping 3 day 2 night tour and joined another group of 3 which was super fun. Would definitely recommend!
I had an amazing experience with Evertrail Tours, and Aya made it unforgettable. She showed me around Kokusai Dori Market and gave me a real local experience that I wouldn’t have found on my own. We stopped at a pickling stand where I met the owner’s kids who were working at the time. I actually connected with the son because of my tattoos 😂 They started telling me about their dad, who wasn’t there that day, and said his nickname was “Elvis.” I was like, why Elvis?! Then they showed me a picture and I couldn’t stop laughing the hair really looked just like Elvis 😂 They were super welcoming and generous, letting me try a bunch of their pickles, and every single one was honestly amazing. It felt like such a genuine, local experience. After that, we picked out fresh fish from the market and had it cooked upstairs butter garlic style, which is an Okinawan signature dish. It was rich, flavorful, and seriously one of the best meals I had on my trip. Then we went to an izakaya for yakitori, and I can confidently say I had the best chicken skin of my life perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. That first bite really hit, you could probably tell from my reaction lol. One funny moment I won’t forget Aya had a skewer with quail eggs in one hand and another with meat in the other. She’d take a bite of the quail egg, then immediately chase it with the meat because she wasn’t really a fan of the eggs but still ate them anyway 😂 I don’t know why but that moment stuck with me, it was just real and funny. We kept it going and hit another izakaya where I tried something I never thought I would raw goat sashimi. Aya even gave me an out if I didn’t want to try it, but I figured I’m here, why not… and honestly, it was amazing. I finished the whole dish 😂 By the end of it, I completely forgot I was even on a tour it just felt like exploring with a friend. Aya is an incredible person, super knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel natural and fun. Didn’t take many pictures because I was too busy enjoying the moment and honestly, that says everything about how good this experience was. This was easily one of the highlights of my Okinawa trip. Highly recommend
Aya was very professional and knowledgeable about the history of Okinawa and what Okinawa can offer outside of its cities. The waterfalls, ocean views, and forests were beautiful to experience and the food was amazing (10/10). Highly recommend this touring company to family and friends. I also plan on coming back! Thank you Aya and David for making Okinawa feel like a second home. Arigato gozaimasu 🙂↕️
